City of Pawtucket Launches New Website

Pawtucket shows its commitment to make government more accessible with new user friendly website.

PAWTUCKET - The City of Pawtucket is proud to announce the launch of its new website. The site was designed and developed by GLAD WORKS, a full service creative agency located in Pawtucket for 15 of its 20 years in business, offering design, web development, strategy and digital solutions.

GLAD WORKS has a reputation for being very committed to the success and growth of the local government, since it is their belief that businesses and the City should support one another. The City of Pawtucket is particularly supportive of its small businesses, so GLAD WORKS was honored when they were retained to create a new logo and rebrand the City. While working on the rebranding, they noticed that the city's new look did not match a new website that was already in development. Knowing that having a consistent brand is a key to success, GLAD WORKS volunteered to help create a new website at no additional charge. The result is a custom coded, mobile-optimized, content-management-enabled website valued at more than $25,000.

“Our team has been very excited at the opportunity to collaborate with the City of Pawtucket on this new website…especially as it also highlights their recently debuted brand atop a technology platform which makes them more accessible to the community,” said GLAD WORKS Founder and Creative Director Gina DiSpirito. “Our goal was to create a visually enticing, simplified site that was well organized with the user experience and convenience in mind," continued DiSpirito.

The new site features photography by GLAD WORKS, is simple to navigate and is fully responsive so that it can be easily used and accessed from a desktop, mobile phone, or tablet. Residents can pay their water bill, vehicle tax, real estate tax or other city bills online. It has been carefully designed to serve as a resource for information on city departments, procedures, activities and more. The launch of this new website goes a long way to help make government more accessible to everyone, so that they can "Join the Evolution."

“The new web platform will increase accessibility and ease of use for everyone looking to find out more information about the City,” said Mayor Grebien of the new website. “I am also keenly aware that for potential companies and businesses looking at Pawtucket, our website is the first impression they will get of our great City and we certainly want to put our best foot forward,” continued the Mayor.

The City encourages everyone to visit the new website at: www.pawtucketri.com
