SAVE-THE-DATE: City of Pawtucket Announces Restaurant Week

Pawtucket – The City of Pawtucket, through the Pawtucket Restaurant Week Committee, has announced the dates for the 2019 Pawtucket Restaurant Week. The annual event will take place from Monday, September 30th to Sunday, October 6th.

The dates, chosen to be later than the previous two years, were selected as a result of surveys filled out by both restaurant patrons and goers. Last year, the close to 40 restaurants that participated welcomed thousands of patrons throughout the week.

“The City is pleased to bring restaurant week back for the third straight year,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “I would like to thank the City Council for once again backing this significant initiative to promote our city and our restaurants. I would also like to thank the Committee for their time and commitment to ensuring the success of Restaurant Week.”

“The Restaurant Week Committee is excited to have chosen the dates for the 2019 Pawtucket Restaurant Week,” said Committee Member and Senator Sandra Cano. “We look forward to promoting all of our fantastic restaurants in our community and welcome restaurant goers both from within and outside of the city. We expect that this Restaurant Week will be the best yet.”

“This year, Restaurant Week will be pairing art and culture with cuisine,” said Committee member and Executive Director of the Pawtucket Foundation Jan Brodie. “Pawtucket is a city of unique, diverse restaurants and of an emerging music scene. Restaurants around the city will showcase local artists to add a music element to diners' culinary experience.”

The Pawtucket Restaurant Week Committee consists of representatives from the City of Pawtucket, the Pawtucket Foundation, Navigant Credit Union, the Blackstone Valley Tourism Council, and local community leaders.
