Senior Center Offers Free RIPTA Fare Cards for Seniors

RIPTA $5 Fare Card for Seniors only holding a “Valid All Day RIPTA Bus Pass” will be distributed at the Leon Mathieu Senior Center on Thursdays beginning February 9, 2017 from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m.

The Leon Mathieu Senior Center is a distribution site for a limited quantity of Free $5 Bus Fare Cards for qualified Rhode Island seniors (65 and older) only who have a valid “Senior All Day RIPTA Bus Pass”.  The Leon Mathieu Senior Center will be distributing these $5 Fare cards on a first come first serve basis to residents of Pawtucket and Central Falls.

The Bus Fare Cards are being distributed on Thursdays only from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. beginning Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Leon Mathieu Senior Center, 420 Main Street. Individuals must bring a valid picture I.D. to prove city of residence and their valid “Senior All Day RIPTA Bus Pass”.  Each eligible senior will be able to receive this free $5.00 Bus Fare Card once a month through June 2017 and while supplies last.
