Payment Information

Tax Payments Payable at Pawtucket City Hall:

·         Motor Vehicle

·         Personal Property

·         Real Estate

·         Water

 NOTE: Tax Bills are issued in June and are due as noted below. If you do not receive a tax bill, please contact the Tax Collector's office at (401) 728-0500 Ext-344.

FAILURE TO RECEIVE A TAX BILL DOES NOT EXCUSE ANYONE FROM PAYING TAXES AND INTEREST.

Due Dates

If you are the owner of record of Real Estate, Personal Property and/or Motor Vehicle as of December 31, 2022, taxes will be payable according to the following schedule:

July 17, 2023

First Quarter installment of Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle taxes are due July 15, 2021. Payments received on or after July 18, 2023 is subject to interest of 13% per annum, back to the 1st Quarter due date.

October 16, 2023

Second quarter installment of Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle are due at this time. Payments received on or after October 17, 2023 is subject to interest of 13% per annum, back to the 2nd Quarter due date.

January 15, 2024

Third quarter installment of Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle are due at this time. Payments received on or after January 16, 2024 is subject to interest of 13% per annum, back to the 3rd Quarter due date.

April 15, 2024

Fourth quarter installment of Real Estate, Personal Property and Motor Vehicle are due at this time. Payments received on or after April 16, 2024 is subject to interest of 13% per annum, back to the 4th Quarter due date.

Option 1: Mail

Make check payable to: City of Pawtucket

Full payment: Submit full payment coupon only

Quarterly payments: Submit appropriate quarterly payment coupon only

Via scheduling your on-line banking check, please send payment out at least five business days prior to the due date to assure timely processing.

If you require a receipt, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Option 2: Deliver

Deliver your payment to the Collection's Office located on the first floor of Pawtucket City Hall, Room 110. Office hours are Monday - Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m, Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. . If paying by check, a drop box is located in the hallway and in-front of City Hall for your convenience - please do not drop cash into either one of the drop boxes.

Please Note:

TOTAL DUE OF $99.00 OR UNDER: Must be paid in full by July 17, 2023

PRIOR YEAR TAXES: Must be paid before current year taxes.

If your tax bill denotes “PRIOR YEAR TAXES DUE,” please contact the Collections Division for the correct amounts due at (401) 728-0500, ext-344.

REGISTRATION RELEASE: Prior year taxes and any delinquent current year taxes must be paid in FULL by certified check, cash or money order only.  PERSONAL CHECKS REQUIRE A 15 BUSINESS DAY HOLD
