Real Estate Records

The City Clerk’s Office serves as the Recorder of Deeds for the City of Pawtucket. This encompasses Deeds, Mortgages, Liens, Discharges, including Municipal Court and Zoning Orders, Liens and Discharges, etc.. Pursuant to RI State Law, records are indexed by grantor/grantee names and not by address.

Where do I search the records?

Land Evidence records are available for searching and viewing online from 1969 – present.

Research can also be conducted in the Archives on the 4th floor of City Hall during normal business hours.

Where do I get copies of the records?

Customers who open an account with us may print documents to their own desktop printers.

If you need to order a copy of a record and do not have an account, please order through the City Clerk, here:

Copies are $1.50 per page and $3.00 per document certification fee.

Land evidence recordings are accepted for recording in person, via e-recording, by mail, or through the drop box at City Hall.

What are the hours that recordings are accepted?

Recordings are accepted between the hours of:

  • 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday – Wednesday
  • 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday
  • 8:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Friday
