Donna M. Nesselbush was appointed as the Associate Municipal Court Judge for the City of Pawtucket in 2004. She was elevated to the position of Chief Judge on April 25, 2012, and she has served in that capacity ever since.
Chief Judge Nesselbush is a 1984 graduate of Brown University, where she received the Sarah Doyle Prize “for having made a significant contribution to women on campus and in the community.” She graduated cum laude from Suffolk University School of Law, where she was selected to write for the Law Review, and was also awarded the Leo J. Wyman Award for having “contributed most to advancing the civic and professional responsibilities of a lawyer.” She currently also serves as Rhode Island State Senator from Pawtucket. Chief Judge Nesselbush has been a Pawtucket resident for over 30 years, and in October 2014, she was honored to be selected as Pawtucket’s first “Person of the Year” at the city's Hall of Fame celebration for her work on the marriage equality legislation.
Chief Judge Nesselbush is a founding partner of the law firm of Marasco & Nesselbush, a Rhode Island law firm serving the injured and disabled. She and her firm have represented thousands of injured Rhode Islanders in all of the state's trial courts and thousands of Social Security Disability claimants at all levels of review before the Social Security Administration. She is a founder and the Chair of the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Social Security Disability Committee. She is an active member of the American and Rhode Island Associations for Justice as well as a “Sustaining Member” of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. Nesselbush has been named a "Super Lawyer" by Thomson and Reuters.
Judge Jack T. Gannon graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University, Boston Massachusetts. in 1981 with a BS in Criminal Justice. In 1985, Judge Gannon received his Juris Doctor from the Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord, New Hampshire. He has been an active member of the Rhode Island Bar Association since 1986 and the Massachusetts Bar Association since 2006.
With the exception of college and law school, Judge Gannon has lived in Pawtucket his entire life. He is the managing partner of Gannon Bailey Donovan & Votolato PC. In 1992 he was appointed by Mayor Robert E. Metivier as the Pawtucket City Solicitor and served until 1998. From 2004-2010 he was appointed to the Central Falls City Solicitor. In 2011 Judge Gannon served as the Director of Administration for the City of Pawtucket. On February 6, 2013, he was appointed to the Associate Municipal Court Judge in Pawtucket.
Prior to this appointment he served as the Acting Probate Judge for both the city of Pawtucket and Central Falls. In addition to managing his law firm, and serving as the Associate Justice for Pawtucket, Judge Gannon has served as Legal Counsel for the East Providence Personnel Board, the Rhode Island House of Representatives Labor Committee, and Legal Counsel for the Pawtucket, Central Falls and Cumberland Zoning Boards. Judge Gannon is an active member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts, the New England Land Title Association and the American Land Title Association. He is also a recipient of the RI Bar Associations Pro Bono Publico Award and the Ernie Marat Humanitarian Award.
