Calling All Soup Kitchen Volunteers – Past & Present

2022 marks the 30th Anniversary of the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen, which had been founded in 1992 by the late Ernie Marot. As we look back over the years, it is hard not to recognize the integral role our volunteers have played in making our Soup Kitchen the vital organization that it is today.

In honor of this milestone, we are looking for anyone who has volunteered at the Soup Kitchen, in any capacity, over the past 30 years. There have been countless folks who have done everything from washing dishes, to serving food, to cleaning up, to sorting canned good, to picking up donations, and to serving as Board Members. Our volunteers are the heart and soul of the Soup Kitchen, and we invite all these selfless individuals to join us in a group photo.

We have scheduled Friday, August 19th, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the parking lot of the Soup Kitchen, located at 195 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, to take the photo. (Rain Date will be Saturday, August 20th, 2022 at 3 PM.)

We hope to see all of our past and present volunteers for this event, as we could never do all we do, and have done, without their help.

City Speak
"The birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution, Pawtucket is poised to undergo a 21st century evolution into Rhode Island's premier arts and cultural destination, an ideal community to live, work, play, start a business and raise a family."

- Mayor Donald R. Grebien
