City of Pawtucket Thanks Pawtucket Fireworks Team
PAWTUCKET- Following Pawtucket’s amazing, annual 3rd of July fireworks celebration, Mayor Donald R. Grebien, the Administration, and the City of Pawtucket would like to thank everyone who made this event such a success including the City Council and Fireworks Committee.
“With fireworks that could be seen for miles, thank you to the whole team who made that event possible to celebrate Independence Day,” said Mayor Donald R. Grebien. “Thank you to Atlas Pyrotechnics for the amazing display, Eric and the entire team from PVD Food Truck Events, our Public Safety teams with Police, Fire, and EMA, Pawtucket’s Department of Public Works, New England Novelty, and all of the residents who watched across the City.”
This year, Pawtucket drew a larger crowd than last year due in part to the beautiful weather on July 3rd this year and without the need to reschedule as well as the lessening of transmission of COVID-19 in the community and families being more willing to be out at events.
“We had prepared for a larger crowd this year and brought in more food trucks and activities to help with that and were excited to see that happen,” continued Grebien.
Pawtucket appreciates all of the partners and businesses that allowed for parking in its lots during the event as well as all of the vendors present.
The City looks forward to continued, safe fireworks events in the coming years.
