Department of Transportation Announces 4-Day Road Closure of Dexter Street

Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) is announcing a four-day road closure of Bridge 935 which is the bridge on Dexter Street that extends over the railroad tracks.

The road closure will take effect on Monday, June 20th and will re-open on the morning of Friday, June 24th. A detour route has been established by RIDOT. Vehicles traveling on Goff Avenue towards Dexter Street will be redirected to Broad Street, then to Barton Street and then back onto Dexter Street. Travelers are asked to be aware of workers and construction vehicles in the area as the repairs and maintenance are completed.
