High Winds Damage Fairlawn Christmas Tree

PAWTUCKET- Following significant winds on Sunday, December 19th, the lights on the Fairlawn Christmas Tree at Nathanael Green Elementary were damaged beyond repair.

Pawtucket Public Works crews worked on Monday to see if the lights were able to be repaired or salvaged, however they found that the system was unable to be fixed.

“We know how much this tree means to everyone and we will be coming up with a plan to reinstall new lights for the next holiday season and continue the tradition,” said Pawtucket Public Works Director David Clemente. “Next year’s lights will be bigger and even better.”
