Mayor Grebien Reminding Residents of Free Monthly Mattress, Box Spring, & E-Waste Drop Off

Mayor Donald R. Grebien is reminding Pawtucket residents that the City of Pawtucket is providing an added service to Pawtucket residents seeking to get rid of old electronics, as well as mattresses and box springs. The program, which began October 1, 2016 and will continuing monthly on the first Saturday of each month, allows residents to drop off mattresses, box springs, and old electronics known as e-waste at the parking lot across from City Hall on Roosevelt Avenue between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. for free. This coming Saturday, November 5th, will be the next such opportunity.

“We are always looking for ways to better serve our residents and neighbors, and this program is another way to do just that,” said Mayor Grebien. “Customer service is a top priority of my administration. We heard positively from the residents who took advantage of this new program at the beginning of the month and we are happy to continue to provide this added convenience for everyone in Pawtucket. Members of the City Council and I are dedicated to improving services in cost-effective ways.”
