SNOWSTORM/ TORMENTA DE NIEVE (2/12/24 - 2/13/24)

The city has initiated a parking ban starting at 9:00 PM today, February 12, 2024, until further notice.

Debido a la tormenta de nieve inminente, la ciudad ha iniciado una prohibición de estacionamiento a partir de la 9:00 PM hoy, 12 de Febrero, hasta nuevo adviso.

We are ready for the impending snowstorm. Our DPW crews have been working around the clock to prepare our roads and lots. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we navigate this storm. The following is some crucial information you may need throughout the storm. 

Emergencies:

For any emergencies, please contact the Pawtucket Police or Fire Department or call 911. 

For storm-related issues, email storms-pawtucketri.com or call 401-728-0500 ext. 302

Parking Ban Information:

The City has initiated a parking ban starting at 9 PM, tonight, February 12, until further notice.

Street parking will not be permitted during this ban. If you need alternative parking, the City allows parking in the following lots:

WEST SIDE PARKING AREAS:

  1. Morley Field off Moshassuck Street

  2. Veterans Park Ball Field off Smithfield Avenue

  3. Nathanael Greene School, 285 Smithfield Ave.

  4. Slater/Cunningham School, 281 Mineral Spring Ave.

  5. St. Anthony’s Church, 32 Lawn Ave.

  6. Marrin & Pine Street lot

  7. George & Grace Street lot

  8. Varieur School, 486 Pleasant St.

  9. Max Read Field off Pleasant Street

  10. Humes & Broad Street lot

  11. City Hall off Roosevelt Avenue

  12. Third level only of Parking Garage, Park Place

EAST SIDE PARKING AREAS:

  1. Broadway and Exchange Street lot

  2. Agnes Little School (back) Ashburn Street lot

  3. Winters School, 481 Broadway

  4. Curvin McCabe School, 466 Cottage St.

  5. Curtis School, 582 Benefit St.

  6. Daggett Ave Thomlinson Field lot

  7. Potter-Burns School, 973 Newport Ave.

  8. Whittier & Newport Avenue lot

  9. Littlefield Street and Armistice Boulevard lot

  10. Fallon School, 62 Lincoln Ave.

  11. Newport Avenue lot beside the fire station

  12. Slater Park ball field parking lots

Trash:

Trash pickup will be delayed, one day. Please do not place your bins out during the storm.

Schools:

Pawtucket Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, February 13th, 2024.

  9. Monday-Thursday 9:00 am to 8:45 pm, Fri/Sat 9 am to 4:45 pm, First Sunday of every month: 12 pm to 3:45 pm

  10. Leon Mathieu Senior Center

  11. 420 Main Street

  12. Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm

Seniors/Snow Shoveling Program:

The Youth to Senior Snow Shoveling Program is currently full. If any seniors have signed up for the program, they can expect assistance from their designated student to shovel snow tomorrow tomorrow, after school.

Seniors with heat-related concerns may also contact the staff at the Leon Mathieu Senior Center at 401-728-7582.
